Charlie Harrison Wow what can I say? Great album! Mr. Robinson has it all: killer hooks, great lyrics, dreamy soundscapes. I laughed. I cried. I eargasmed. Favorite track: Realign.

Oliver Friedman Sing Myself to Sleep is a testament to the range of Mr. Robinson's ample talent. From the pure shredding on "Better Man" to the contemplative "Forgive Me Still," this album's note-bendingly detailed production has me coming back time and again. Mr. R's creativity is a surefire addition to our collective guitar lexicon -- and did I mention the man plays piano, too? Give it a listen, and take part in a grand celebration of what binds us all together: love, compassion, and some truly groovy music. Favorite track: Hideout.

Track Name: Sing Myself to Sleep
Midnights
Walking past streetlights
Hoping that my life
Can find its way home

Seems like
My thoughts just don't feel right
But now it's just me I
Don't even know

My cares are falling like the leaves
I slowly sing myself to sleep

Monday
Starts off in a bad way
Can't make me say
Why it feels wrong

Late May
No leaves in the driveway
The feeling won't go away
Still lingers on

My cares had fallen like the leaves
I slowly sang myself to sleep

My cares are falling like the leaves
I slowly sing myself to sleep
Track Name: Time of Love
Wrote a song trying to use every word but your name
You don't even hear what I say
Sit back like you think it's just another tune
"Don't know much music but I like the groove"

Thinking back on the day and I'm looking for quotes
Reading through things that you wrote
Wish you knew how much I agree with you
Act surprised when you say it like I never knew

When will my time of love
And your precious time match up?

Catch your eye on the street when I'm walking to work
Pretend I don't notice that smirk
Don't know why you make things difficult
Got me waiting for some kind of miracle

Go to sleep trying to conjure up the words that you'd say
To tell me it'd all be okay
Don't you know you're like a special cure for me?
Dream about the kind of couple that I think we'd be

To see that this time I love
Will be special time for us

All this time let's suppose that I'm wrong
My infatuation wasted all along
But just one time let's pretend that I'm right
We can discover our future tonight

When will my time of love
And your precious time match up?

To see that this time I love
Will become the time of us
Track Name: Better Man
Got a list of questions
I just can't ignore
Like what exactly we've become
And if you're really with someone
All the times you wish that there were something more

Cause every time you laugh
You look off just like a child
All those thoughts that you keep inside
You lock down, cover up, and hide
Girl you know that that's what's making me go wild

Wanna be a better man for you
Gonna find the sweetest song that I can sing
There's no treat in the world I could buy
That would match your fire inside
Spreading out, lighting up, and burning me

You say you've settled down
Wrote off your deep desires
But while you guys copy the twee
And cliché couples on TV
I'm not giving up on placing our love higher

You know I'd be a better man for you
So you better tell him now what he can't see
That there's no check in the world he could write
That would make him seem alright
So I hope you wisen up and tell your boy to leave
And get something better baby

Gonna be a better man for you
Gonna find the sweetest song that I can sing
There's no treat in the world I could buy
That would match your fire inside
Spreading out, lighting up, and burning me

Cause I'd be a better man for you
So you better tell him now what he can't see
Ain't no check in the world he could write
That would make that man alright
So you better get on up and tell his ass to leave
Track Name: Realign
Adam was nineteen
Always played his six string
Only girl he never knew
Wasn't any room for two

Sarah was twenty-four
Everything you need and more
A girl that if he'd ever found
He'd rearrange his life around

Isn't it odd?
Making matches in his head, taking steps at playing God
It's just fine
Got her in his life, he just has to realign

She was in the back of the show
How it worked he'd never know but
Seemed that all the riffs and lights
Brought him to this time of night

Couple weeks took their course
Under her magnetic force
Melodies dull compared to
Her just being there

Isn't it odd?
Making matches in his head, taking steps at playing God
It's just fine
Got her in his life, he just has to realign

But that night when she was left there all alone
He revisited his former love with clear, majestic tone
In the wake of seeing light fall on her face
He found music not replacing but just doubling her grace

Thought he'd do something good
Took her out to the woods
Told her how he'd always felt and
How she'd always made him melt

She said, "Well okay.
What do you want me to say?"
He said, "All you can do is
Let me play a song for you"

Isn't it odd?
Making matches in his head, taking steps at playing God
It's just fine
Got her in his life, he just has to realign

Isn't it odd?
Making matches in his head, taking steps at playing God
It's just fine
Got her in his life, this happens all the time
Track Name: Conversations
One-sided conversation
All the things I'd never say
Picks up my heart
And runs away

If you felt the way I felt
I would drop everything else for you
And I will before
What I have in store for you and me

How many people's dream seem so fickle
Spending time by your side
You and me, by the sea
We'll be happy

Broken hearted, broken faces
Everything in different places
Everything I wanna be
Messes with my personality

One-sided conversations
All the things I'd never say
Picks up my heart
And runs away

How many people's dream seem so fickle
Spending time by your side
You and me, by the sea
We'll be happy
(x2)
Track Name: Hideout
Do you want to know my favorite place to hideout
Somewhere you won't find by any sign or lighthouse
You don't need to book a flight
Or even stay overnight
Everything'll be alright, just don't make a sound

Finjamos que este mundo es pequeno
Solo necesitamos nuestro sueno
We can stay in all day
Watch the time pass away
People'll say what they say, but only we'll know

Pillows stacking high above creates our fortress
Making sure the uninvited guests don't join us
Pull the sheets over my head
Laugh at everything you said
You and me laying in bed becomes a chorus

We'll run away one of these days
But tonight it's alright
To just stay
Track Name: Frozen Over
I saw the text you got while we were by the restaurant bathroom
Guess you'll tell me soon enough
I'd always thought we'd solve our problems as we came to them but
I know communication's tough

Was it the things I said when I had actually cared about them
That I became a joke to you
Was it that time I didn't want your friend to stay in my room
That's not something I usually do

I can't blame you
But also I can't even understand
Crafting a future
Besides the one that you and I had planned

I hate that now you have to act like I was bad to you
Ailment leaving you uncured
Your characters, they don't just vanish when you tell them to
But, guess you're writing your own world

Take a month to fill the list of things to yell about
Take a month to change my mind
Paint a smile on just wide enough to cover my mouth
To make up for all the lost time

I can't hate you
For going somewhere you wanted to be, but
New England frozen over
Is trapping me in weight up to my knees

One day the ice'll melt and break away and
Show all the scars I earned along the way, just
Hope someone likes the looks of my new face
Track Name: Forgive Me Still
In the still of night's embrace
Bending time to find a space
Tired, lost, or still distraught?
Speak aloud to hear my thoughts

Forgive me, forgive me, forgive me still

Gardens I refuse to sow
Pray they somehow still will grow
All the things that I ignore
Show me how I could do more

Love of mine I have not kept
Covered faces as we wept
Hiding from the world's demands
Pray to help me understand

Forgive me, forgive me, forgive me still

Steady shaking I should know
Wake to sleep and take it slow.
When tomorrow's day begins,
Will you still forgive me then?
